Jack E. Churchward
I was born and raised on Clearwater Beach, Florida. I was a member of Cub Scouts, WEBLOS, Boy Scouts and Explorers. I achieved Eagle rank in May of 1974 in Troop 480, Clearwater, Florida. Other interests included archaeology, chess, and reading.
Later that same year, I joined the United States Navy as an Aviation Anti-Submarine Warfare Technician (AX). After serving at Tactical Support Center Bermuda (where in 1977, I married my wife, Cindy) and Commander Fleet Air Keflavik, Iceland, I was honorably discharged in August 1980.
I immediately sought employment and have been with the same company since. In 1981, I went to college and started work on a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering which I was awarded in 1991 from the University of South Florida. During this time, I also participated in Boy Scouts again as a Unit Commisioner, where I earned my Commisioner's Key.
I did get involved with political issues for a period of time, but I am no longer involved.
